I have been involved in music ever since I can remember.
Like so many, I honed my skills in church, singing harmonies to the rich British hymnody and Chorus tunes of my youth. Later on I learned to play piano, then (once my big sister showed me Em) I learned the guitar. As a teenager I started writing songs on my own and with others for use in vocal harmony groups and bands. I learned so much by getting out there and giving it a go.
I eventually started writing songs for use in church for sung worship some of which became anthems of my local church. All of this brought me to wider attention and eventually some were published thanks to CopyCare and Kingsway. In 1997 I moved with my family to London so I could join the staff at Kensington Temple, eventually becoming Music Pastor there, a role I enjoyed for 17 years. At KT my songs were sung widely at KT church itself, in its satellite churches and at National and International conferences. The songs helped to embed ideas and to give voice to Londoners wanting a fresh lyric to sing in worship.
Having left KT in 2014, I taught for a time at Regents Theological college and then moved on to minister on the team at Cheltenham Elim Church. Being part-time there meant I was able to offer the wealth of a lifetime of ministry experience in the music of Worship both as a Consultant and as a guest speaker. I am now lead Pastor of Gateway Elim Church in Yate.
Glory and Fire was released on CD in 2015 and it features 13 of my best songs, though tantalisingly, not all of them.
Since then I’ve digitally released 8 albums and 1 single, with two more albums slated for release later in 2026.
